DIPPEMESS IN SPRING

March 22–April 14, 2024

The Dippemess takes place at the fairground on Ratsweg in front of the indoor ice rink. The former ceramics fair, where the typical Frankfurt Bembel (apple wine mug) was already known in the Middle Ages, has evolved over the centuries into one of Frankfurt's most popular public festivals. Feel the thrill of high-tech and high-flying rides or visit the traditional Dippemarkt.

With public transportation you can reach the Dippemess within 15 minutes from our hotels in the city center: Flemings Selection Hotel Frankfurt-City and Flemings Hotel Frankfurt Main-Riverside.

LICHTER FILMFEST FRANKFURT INTERNATIONAL

April 16–24, 2024

The Lichter Filmfest has been bringing together film, culture and society for 17 years. It started small, in empty rooms in Frankfurt, and grew continuously. By developing various events such as open-air cinemas and conferences, LICHTER has become an important film festival in Germany. Always supported by voluntary commitment.

This year's film festival has the motto FUTURE and is spread across various locations in Frankfurt. The official opening will take place in the Metropolis Cinema. Just a minute's walk from the Flemings Selection Hotel Frankfurt-City.

Wäldchestag in Frankfurt

Every year on the Tuesday after Whitsun, a large traditional festival takes place in Frankfurt's city forest, the Wäldchestag.

RHEINGAU WINE MARKET

August 28–September 6, 2024

The traditional Rheingau wine market is the place to be for wine lovers. Held every year in late summer on the Freßgass, Frankfurt's promenade, it showcases the wines of Rheingau wineries. The vintners are always happy to advise you personally.

You can reach the Hauptwache stop in 4 minutes by S-Bahn from our hotels at Frankfurt’s main station: Flemings Hotel Frankfurt-Central and Metropolitan Hotel by Flemings. Or you can walk the 650m (about 8 min.) from Flemings Selection Hotel Frankfurt-City.

FRANKFURT CHRISTMAS MARKET

November 27–December 21, 2023

The Frankfurt Christmas Market is one of the largest in Germany. It stretches from Roßmarkt along the Zeil shopping mile and Friedrich-Stoltze-Platz with the Rosa Weihnacht (popular among the local gay community) to the Römer, where Frankfurt's Christmas tree is on full display.

Our Flemings Selection Hotel Frankfurt-City is located 600m (8 min. walk) from the Roßmarkt and 900m (10 min. walk) from the Römer.

Literaturhaus Frankfurt

A house with room for literature - in the middle of Frankfurt am Main.

The Literaturhaus Frankfurt is a place for literary encounters and the exploration of contemporary international literature. It was founded in 1991 and moved from the Westend to the rebuilt Alte Stadtbibliothek an der Schönen Aussicht in 2005.

Author readings, non-fiction discussions, conferences, award ceremonies, parties and performances take place in the classicist rooms. Under the roof of the Young Literature House, children and young people meet for children's book readings, comic workshops and writing workshops, while teachers exchange ideas in courses of lectures at the Schöne Aussicht.

The Literaturhaus Frankfurt is located directly opposite our Flemings Hotel Frankfurt Main-Riverside.

Alte Oper Frankfurt

The Alte Oper in Frankfurt has a long and storied history. Ever since it first opened its doors to the public in 1880, it has earned a permanent place in the hearts of music lovers. Then as now, it attracts not only Frankfurt residents, but also visitors from all over the world who are enthusiastic about classical concerts, opera performances, ballet or jazz concerts.
