The Wuppertal Opera will host the premiere of the opera Tristan und Isolde on October 22. In this romance, many obstacles are placed in the way of the lovers. They were, in fact, not supposed to come together at all.

Richard Wagner's musical drama has three acts. Settle back and enjoy the roughly four hours of this special love story, just as the audience did at the premiere on June 10, 1865 at the National Theater in Munich.

The opera house in the Barmen district is directly linked to our Flemings Hotel Wuppertal-Central by public transport.

Ten years ago, the play about love was performed in Lisbon, Salzburg, London and even in Wuppertal. It is back again: "Nelken” (Carnations), the most performed piece by Pina Bausch.

Countless pink carnations cover the floor of the Wupptertal Opera House, as the dancers glide across the floor creating a spectacular wave. First, all is quiet…then, it rumbles louder and louder until, finally, all is quiet once again. Every emotion is stirred in the process.

Our Flemings Hotel Wuppertal-Central is within easy reach of the opera house by public transport.
