Flemings Selection Hotel Wien-City is located in Vienna’s 8th district, Josefstadt. Once a neighborhood of aristocratic palaces, it’s still home to many well-known Austrian personalities.
At the center of the district lies Josefstädter Straße — and that’s where you’ll find the historic building that now houses our convention hotel.
The landmark façade reflects its elegant origins: the building once served as a champagne factory. During its renovation into a business hotel, preserving the traditional architecture was a top priority.
Numerous features in and around the building reflect its rich history. The gas lanterns at the entrance, for example, are protected heritage features — a reminder that the site once housed Vienna’s gasworks.
Other preserved elements include the original stairwell to the lobby, the historic staircase, and a commemorative plaque marking the building’s reopening in 1910.
For business events and seminars, six event spaces and boardrooms are available — accommodating up to 290 people.
